Padmore & Barnes x Neighbourhood: the Original P204
Share
For nearly a century, Padmore & Barnes has stayed faithful to a way of making shoes that values craftsmanship over trends and character over perfection. For our collaboration we came together around a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, colour and timeless design, and made the Original P204 in four colourways of our own.
Kilkenny, since 1934
Padmore & Barnes was founded in Kilkenny, Ireland, in 1934 and became known for its hand-stitched moccasins. The company produced some of the earliest versions of what became the Wallabee for Clarks. Adopted by generations of artists, musicians and makers, the silhouette became an icon not through fashion, but through culture.
The Original P204
The P204 is the brand's signature moccasin, built since the 1960s on its own Nature Form last. Each pair is hand lasted and hand stitched, which keeps the moccasin shape close and supple rather than stiff. A two-eyelet bellows tongue, an elasticated lace and a plantation crepe sole that softens with wear make it a shoe that settles around your foot over the first few weeks.

Four colourways for Neighbourhood
- Suede brick: a warm, supple suede.
- Cannab marron brown: smooth brown leather that shows its grain.
- Perforated off white: a lighter, warm-weather version with a perforated vamp.
- Light blue pony leather: with the natural hair left on, so no two pairs are the same.

Made to be lived in
We photographed each pair in the colours of our Monet-inspired studio, as part of a larger study in colour, texture and craftsmanship. More than a shoe, it is an object shaped by time, tradition and the hands that made it. Designed to be worn, made to be lived in.
